I am using FrontPage 98
submission form. However, the messages are not sent to the e-mail
addresses. Why? |

This is the problem with
e-mail headers. FrontPage 98 sets "From" headers in its own way:
browser_impersonation@nt_box_name which is not a valid Internet
mail address. Then, if the recipient's server set-up to look-up
outgoing e-mail address, it fails to resolve "browser_impersonation@nt_box_name"
and does not accept the message. The workaround is to send messages
to a mailbox that is set to auto-reply (holiday message) and use
"Reply-To" field in FrontPage submission form. Another workaround
is to upgrade to FrontPage 2000 extensions. |
